the final months. |
We are heading towards the stretch of it all but we're not quite there YET. These final months of this year will be the true test of how well we can both handle things in preparation for the trip. Although i try to remain calm and trust that things will go without a hitch, i still worry about the possibility He's going to be getting everything together for the visa this month and once he's got it, he's going to set up the interview for the visa. Because the United States was in talks with the President of Uruguay to definitely get rid of the visa requirement, one of the conditions was that certain percentage of visas for uruguayans that are traveling to the U.S. not be denied so Fabi thinks he's got a good shot to get approved. We were both pretty worried about him not being able to demonstrate enough ties to his country. he doesn't own a business or a home or land of his own. he's 23 and a student who also works. It's understandle that the consulate might think he would stay in the U.S. as so many people did before -hence why they now require a visa interview- but Fabi isn't going to stay here. he needs to finish his schooling and the only reason we have waited this long is because he needed to save enough money to pay for his passport -which he never got beforehand-, his visa stuff, plane ticket and the spending money. That and also that he needed to be working at the same job for a year to get his 20 day paid vacation. These final months will be exciting but they will also be nerve wrecking. i'll want everything to go by so fast... the way i want everything to go by fast NOW but we've done a good job of it so far. I love the way he's so crazy about me. The way he loves me is absolutely incredible. patience is key. |
