Uruguay: the biometric visa
I remember how much fabin and i cried when he told me his job would be making him wait three more months unril he could take his vacation.
that however, was the least of our concerns. the visa application process was what was making us nervous and crazy. he was hearing from different people/friends/acquaintances of what he could expect going in for the interview and the possibility that they might deny his visa because he was young and going to visit me, his girlfriend.
Now that this new biometric passport thing is coming into effect around october of this year, this means he would no longer need a visa to travel.
i couldn't believe it.
this means he can actually come in January as planned.
Chile has been blessed enough to enter into the U.S. without a visa and now Uruguay is catching up. This means that i would not need to get a visa either when i want to go visit him.
It just really made me think about the way God has everything in control. We didn't understand at first.... we cried but in the end, a higher purpose was in the works. i am really hoping he can get this biometric passport when it goes into effect in october. he was going to start the process of getting his passport ready next month as soon as his first year anniversary came for his job. you usually need to have your passport by the time you apply for the visa but now that this is coming to effect, gosh...i really hope he won't need to now. we are hanging in there and trusting that because we have a purpose to live through, that everything will be okay no matter what happens.this new passport would make things so much easier for him and us.
i have faith.
i have hope.
i'm not going to let anything tear us apart.
