Male/Female Hanging. |
Old Classmate: Do you still live in Lancaster? Me: Yes, i do. Old Classmate: cool, was wondering if we could hang out one day, on your day off. Me: Aren't you Married? *Long Pause* Old Classmate: yeah but there isnt a rule to hang out with friends is it? Me: well, no there's no rule. but you are married and i really don't think it's appropriate. i don't know if you know what i mean. things change when you're married and when a female and male are involved, that's just asking for trouble. that's like my parents being married and a friend wanted to hang out with my dad. now, i realize the world is "hip" now and some people don't see anything wrong with it, but i am old fashioned and i don't think it's a good idea. it's nothing personal against you, trust me. I really don't understand people's logic. If you're going to make a commitment to a person like marriage, "hanging out" with other women like that is out of the question... i don't care that we're 23 or 24 years old. I don't know how many people out there would actually be okay with this, but i am not. What married man makes time to hang out with a single woman when they should want to be AT HOME or make time to be with their WIFE? |
